A liveable city is built in everyday life.
Affordable housing, climate-resilient districts, good schools, safe routes and social infrastructure need to be planned together.
Oldenburg is growing. That is a strength, but also an obligation. A city becomes liveable not only through flagship projects, but through affordable homes, short routes, good education, safe meeting places, urban greenery, shade, clean data and reliable social services. ## What we want to advance - plan municipal housing transparently and make progress visible by district - align land policy with the common good: housing, green space, social infrastructure and short routes - make climate adaptation measurable: unsealing, trees, shade, water, heat action plans - publish heating planning in an understandable way, including suitable areas and next steps - strengthen district budgets and local participation - treat youth, culture, sport and volunteering as part of public services Safety does not come from blanket surveillance. It comes from good lighting, lively places, social work, traceable administration and people knowing whom to contact.
